AMPT’s MATTER Masterclasses & Co-Creation Workshops will take place virtually on May 18. Following on from the last edition of the workshops that took place at PUZZLE X 2021 in Barcelona, sessions are thoughtfully designed to engage stakeholders in different parts of the Materials Deep Tech ecosystem. Featuring internationally recognized instructors, the workshops will equip participants with key resources and knowledge to navigate the materials commercialization and impact creation world.

The virtual event will kick off with a masterclass on “Fashion & 2D Materials” led by Sir Kostya Novoselov, the Nobel Laureate in Graphene, and Lindsay Hanson, CEO of Digital Couture, which will explore how Frontier Materials such as graphene can be used in the fashion and design industry in smart wearables and other consumer products.

This will be followed by a masterclass on “How to be an Entrepreneur Scientist?” with Luca Venza, Director of Technology Transfer at IESE, who will educate attendees about how to bring Frontier Materials innovations to market covering business fundamentals such as IP and raising capital. This masterclass is created for scientists, postdoctoral researchers and graduates who are looking to commercialize their research.

The final session will be a highly interactive “Sustainable R&D in Healthcare” co-creation workshop led by Dr. Laetitia Gazagnes, Founder of Impuls’Innov. With more than 10 years of experience specializing in sustainable innovation strategy, Laetitia will co-create with attendees to explore how companies can be market leaders with a sustainable mindset. The focus audience for the workshop is corporate leaders, startups, innovation teams, marketing leaders and C-suite decision-makers in the Healthcare industry.

MATTER Masterclasses & Co-Creation Workshops target textile designers, corporate leaders, Frontier Materials scientists as well as researchers looking to commercialize their innovations. The flexible format of the event allows participants to mix and match the classes.

The workshops are available to all AMPT MATTER+ members, and for a limited time, joining MATTER+ membership is free. Find out more here.
